The executive board of WESSO AG, Germany, decided to establish a subsidiary in the UAE. The company will be called Blue Planet Partners (BPP) FZE and is located in the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Free Zone. This is the next logical step due to WESSO’s rapidly growing business in the MENA region explains Stefan Kimmel, CEO of WESSO AG. Blue Planet Partners will serve as hub for business in the MENA region and support and coordinate WESSO’s local and regional business partners.
According to Kimmel, WESSO has built a network of strategic alliances and distributors in MENA. As business has increased steadily it is now necessary to offer them local real time support with tenders, sales materials, product information and technical support both in Arabic and English.
Market segments served by Blue Planet Partners include the food industry (with air hygiene products), water utilities (with water well regeneration products)and poultry farms (with water and stable hygiene products). WESSO hopes to both stabilize the existing business and to expand and partner network based on the increased local presence. This expectation has been expressed by both sales partners and customers, especially in the public sector.
