Montreal, Quebec, Canada, June 17, 2009— Atrion International launches the next generation of RegDBOnline™, a premiere online database for Environment, Health, Safety and Transport information. Designed for users involved in the implementation of GRC strategies, RegDBOnline simplifies the complexity of monitoring changing global regulations by providing a comprehensive, single-source database of up-to-date government and industry guidelines. The application features an intuitive, easy-to-use interface, powerful search capabilities in 44 languages, and a content database that includes over 314 chemicals and global legislations.
All data is reviewed and updated with changing regulations on a regular basis, and published regulatory information is supplemented with value-added content by Atrion’s Regulatory Specialist. RegDBOnline also adapts and evolves to incorporate new legislative data such as REACH and GHS so that the latest search needs are supported.

Flexible, Easy-to-Use Search Capabilities
RegDBOnline features easy-to-use search capabilities by geographic region (North America, Latin America, Asia/Pacific, Europe, and International) or by pre-defined data groupings, including International, State, Provincial, and industry-specific regulations. It enables users to quickly and efficiently conduct searches to identify substance status on regulatory lists such as inventory or banned lists; discover limitations on use and associated thresholds; understand exceptions for substances in certain categories; and reference substance physical property, toxicity and ecotoxicity data.
In addition, any information captured for a regulation can be used to search for related information. Users are able to conduct searches on chemical names and standard identifiers such as CAS#, EC#, and CLP#, as well as on classifications such as ‘flammable’ or ‘carcinogen’ in combination with any type or geographic-specific regulatory set.
Value-Added Content
RegDBOnline’s database includes additional information contributed by Atrion’s Regulatory Specialists to supplement regulations. Grouping information is an example of RegDBOnline’s value-added content, whereby related chemicals that are not necessarily published in a regulatory list are easily identified through a search request.
Multilingual Capabilities
There is a considerable challenge in interpreting multi-lingual regulatory data in disparate formats. RegDBOnline facilitates research by providing users with a clear view into all legislative data in multiple languages. The application supports 44 languages of individual regulatory and chemical safety statements or expressions, as well as substance synonyms.
Complete Regulatory List View and Export Capabilities
RegDBOnline enables users to create a complete regulatory list view with supporting substance names, identifiers, and other important information. The regulatory list can then be exported for further data manipulation.
